When will breakout rooms be available? With the new platform launching Sept 8, it will be a loss to our meetings not having this available.

How has this not been added yet? We are looking at a forced cutoff from RingCentral Meetings on the 19th and we're missing Break Out Rooms? As an RC Partner I have a bunch of angry clients on my hands.

Breakout rooms are an essential feature for teams. As you keep improving your versions of RC, essential features should be KEPT and refined further, not deleted alltogether.

Breakouts:

• With Zoom, you are able to create rooms and assign attendees in advance.

Occasionally our Meeting and Events team as well as our physician partners like to create predefined breakout rooms with users already assigned to these breakouts upon login. This has been used in during our virtual symposiums and CME courses – it saves time setting up the rooms prior rather than having the host build out rooms during the sessions. Given the time restraints on some of these sessions, every second counts. This was possible when we used Zoom.

• For many of our meetings, we meet as a large group. We then breakout into our different practice lines to discuss business updates for those specific business entities. It would be hard to do that manually at the start of the meeting for 300+ participants.

• Participants can join their own breakout rooms without having the host assign on their behalf.

Currently in RC, the host has to assign attendees to a specific breakout in order for the attendee to join. Attendees do not have the option to freely join any breakout room. In the past we were able to host a meeting with drop-in breakouts for our senior residents to get to meet their Medical Directors and etc.

• In some of our events we have multiple breakouts and allow attendees to choose multiple breakouts through the course of the event. We’ve currently been using multiple RC Meeting links to mimic this but we end up losing half of our attendees due to logging off of a meeting a logging into another one. This would be really helpful in our networking sessions where attendees can select a speaker/presenter to network with. At this point if you can allow for clickable links in the chat, that would help quite a bit also.

• Co-hosts can create and assign users to breakout rooms.

Our users like to have the peace of mind of having a back-up who can moderate and support breakout rooms in the event they are unable to attend their own session.

• Right now only the host can create and assign participants to breakout rooms. Since we are manually creating and assign during the meeting, it would be helpful if the co-host can also create and assign.

1.When Breakout rooms are created a host should be able to take a guest directly from waiting room to Breakout room if s/he desires. It should not be mandatory that guest first needs to be brought in main meeting room and then sent to Breakout room.

2. Also if you are co-host then when you are in main meeting you should be able to see al breakout rooms. In Zoom, as cohost, if you are in main meeting you don't have access to breakout rooms.

Waiting for Breakout room feature so I can switch from RC meeting to Video.

Can't use RC Video until there are Waiting Room and Breakout Room functions. At PENCIL, Inc. we host virtual meetings with students and volunteers and need to control entry and assign them to breakout rooms. Please advise at to timeline on roadmap.
